Level Overview Ski
The following videos from the Swiss Snow League and the Swiss Snow Academy will help you to assess your children's skiing level.
Green League (never skied before)
In the GREEN LEAGUE, children gain their first experience on skis.
- Getting to know skis & snow
- Walking, climbing (turning)
- Falling line skiing parallel and braking
- First change of direction from the fall line
Green League 3-4 years: Kids Village | from 5 years: Green Village
Blue League (from age 5, with experience)
In the BLUE LEAGUE your children will learn the basics of skiing.
Blue Prince / Princess
Your child masters the snowplow, can brake and make their first changes of direction.
- Climbing with stairs and shear step
- Gliding and braking in the plow
- Skiing in a parallel ski position with transfers and tricks
- Turning the plow
Blue King / Queen
- Inclined riding and tricks
- Side slides
- Parallel riding on easy waves and jumps
- Plow turns on a simple blue slope
Blue Star
Your child masters plow turns on easy blue slopes and can ride easy waves in parallel.
- Swinging in the pole forest and course
- Riding waves and dips
- Switch skiing in V-position with change of direction
- Plow turns on blue slopes
Red League (advanced)
In the RED LEAGUE, advanced children consolidate their skiing skills.
Red Prince / Princess
Your child masters plow turns on a varied blue slope
- Braking parallel
- Turning on easy slopes
- waltzing
- Parallel turns (slid)
Red King / Queen
Your child can swing parallel while sliding.
- Short turns on a simple slope
- Skating step on the flat
- Basic Air (small kicker)
- Parallel turns with different radii
Red Star
Your child masters the parallel turn in different radii.
- Parallel turns in the pole couloir
- Parallel turn “Switch” (slid)
- Single-leg turns on easy slopes
- Short turns on medium-difficulty slopes
Black League (Experten)
In the BLACK LEAGUE, children are called upon to become experts on skis.
Black Prince / Princess
Your child masters short turns on medium-difficulty slopes.
- Short turns with poles on difficult slopes
- Jumping straight and fifty-fifty over a box
- Parallel turns in unprepared snow
- Carve turns (cut parallel turns) on wide, easy slopes
Black Academy
Skiing without limits on and off the piste, snow park and slalom. The Academy comprises three main themes in the ski categories:
- Race
- freestyle
- freeride
